1 ¶ And in that day thou shalt say, O LORD, I will praise thee: though thou wast angry with me, thine anger is turned away, and thou comfortedst me.
.2  Behold, God is my salvation; I will trust, and not be afraid: for the LORD JEHOVAH is my strength and my song; he also is become my salvation.
That day God's people will be delivered from bondage is1110 but the prophecy also points to the final deliverance is1112, mt2431. The appearance of the Messiah and the restoration of spiritual Israel. The "day" may also be seen as the day of atonement which ends in salvation of the righteous and death or rejection of those who refuse the call of mercy. This will be at the coming of Christ in glory le2327.
Lord ... my strength ... salvation This was seen when Jerusalem was saved from Sennecherib's Assyrian assault is3733.
.3  Therefore with joy shall ye draw water out of the wells of salvation.   Water ... wells Water in the wilderness came from the Rock ex1706. The miracle was later celebrated during the Feast of Tabernacles. Water drawn from the spring of Shiloah is0806 was carried by priests and poured out at the altar of burnt offerings. Christ is the source of life sustaining water. See His statement in jn0737. Also ez4701, jl0318, zc1408.
4 ¶ And in that day shall ye say, Praise the LORD, call upon his name, declare his doings among the people, make mention that his name is exalted.   4 - Praise As indicated in the verse, this means more than repeating the word. It is a call to tell others about our Lord. This is a blessing for those who declare Him as well as for us who speak about His goodness ro0121-3. Sweet singing is important for developing a good attitude. Those who do not sing can practice while no one is around.
5  Sing unto the LORD; for he hath done excellent things: this is known in all the earth.
6  Cry out and shout, thou inhabitant of Zion: for great is the Holy One of Israel in the midst of thee.
