Psalm 92

Triumph in the works of the creator on the Sabbath and be planted in His house
.
Text
Explanation
Celebration of the destruction of evil and the triumph  of the faithful. According to tradition, it was sung by the Levites at the time of the morning drink offering. It may be heard in modern synagogues.
1 ¶ <<A Psalm or Song for the sabbath day.>> It is a good thing to give thanks unto the LORD, and to sing praises unto thy name, O most High:
2 To shew forth thy lovingkindness in the morning, and thy faithfulness every night,
.3 Upon an instrument of ten strings, and upon the psaltery; upon the harp with a solemn sound.
Notice the interesting superscription (above). The feast days during the year were also called sabbaths. Here the notation is "the" sabbath meaning the seventh-day of the week.
  3 - Upon an instrument Compare ps03302, and ps05708
4 For thou, LORD, hast made me glad through thy work: I will triumph in the works of thy hands.
5 O LORD, how great are thy works! and thy thoughts are very deep.
4 - I will triumph Or "I will cry for joy."

5 - How great are thy works The Sabbath commandment tells us to remember the day of the Creator God ex2011.

.6 A brutish man knoweth not; neither doth a fool understand this.   Brutish Or "senseless" or "beast-like."
7 ¶ When the wicked spring as the grass, and when all the workers of iniquity do flourish; it is that they shall be destroyed for ever:
8 But thou, LORD, art most high for evermore.
Wicked destroyed This shows the love of God. When the wicked have been punished they will be no more. ob16
9 For, lo, thine enemies, O LORD, for, lo, thine enemies shall perish; all the workers of iniquity shall be scattered.
.10 But my horn shalt thou exalt like the horn of an unicorn: I shall be anointed with fresh oil.
10 - But Thou, O Lord hast exalted my horn like that of the wild ox (NASB)
11 Mine eye also shall see my desire on mine enemies, and mine ears shall hear my desire of the wicked that rise up against me.
9 - Lo thine enemies ... perish Notice the contrast and repetition.
10 - Horn A symbol of power used by animals to do as they please de3317, re1301. David realized this objective of concurring his enemies.
10 - Unicorn See on jb3909. Perhaps  as for a special animal or power which would force obedience by persecution.
.12 The righteous shall flourish like the palm tree: he shall grow like a cedar in Lebanon.
13 Those that be planted in the house of the LORD shall flourish in the courts of our God.
.14 They shall still bring forth fruit in old age; they shall be fat and flourishing;
.15 To shew that the LORD is upright: he is my rock, and there is no unrighteousness in him.
13 - Planted in the house of the Lord Compare jn1401-3, ps02306. We enter within the vail by faith now. When Jesus comes, we will see Him as He is 1jo0302. As we bring up our children in Bible truth, they will probably be God-fearing adults.
14 - Fruit in old age as described above.
15 - To shew Those who remain faithful over the years are a witness to God's glory.
